O.J. Simpsons most recent brush with the law has given many (including me) hope that this guy might finally pay the price for his past sins. We all know, however, that this is not how our justice system operates. As much as we want the Las Vegas case to be a proxy for a retrial of Simpson for the double murders, it will not be. I have followed the case closely enough to believe that O.J. will probably get out of this one with very minor consequences. The witnesses called this week in the probable cause hearing were anything but credible. One thought it even appropriate to suggest that Jack Nicholson would play him in a movie version of the saga. Whether it be the fact that many of the witnesses against O.J. have very shady backgrounds, that they "happened" to tape the incident, or that they were on the phone trying to sell their story to the tabloids while guns were still being waived around, O.J. could not have picked a better bunch to be his adversaries.
I know that many people are going to be very disappointed, but guys like O.J will eventually get justice. I just don't think it will be this time.
Glad I was wrong!

While it would be great to see "man's law" deal with Simpson appropriately, it's nice to know that no one escape's God's laws. I would hate to be this guy on judgment day.
