Tammy Faye Messner, the former televangelist and Christian singer who battled drug addiction and later inoperable cancer, died Friday morning, CNN's Larry King said Saturday night. He said the family had asked him to make the delayed announcement.
Whether you liked Tammy Faye or not, she was certainly an integral part of the growth of the Christian Media. From the Larry King Live appearance, it seemed like she was really suffering and it was very sad to see someone that had so much energy be reduced to hardly being able to speak.
